C.K.C. BY-LawsARTICLE ISECTION 1-The organization shall be known as the Columbus Kart Club Inc. SECTION 2-The organization shall have such official insignia, as the membership shall determine. ARTICLE IISECTION 1- The objective of the organization shall be to promote interest in kart racing on both the local and national level, and to sanction races according to safety and racing rules of the organization. ARTICLE IIISECTION 1-Any person may become a member of the organization upon payment of annual dues. SECTION 2- The Columbus Kart Club Inc. at anytime may reprimand or remove from membership any member of the organization, for cause, according to the following procedure.The recommendation for reprimand or removal must be presented in writing to the president of the Columbus Kart Club Inc. In turn, the president will present such recommendation to the Board of Directors who may reprimand the member by a simple majority vote, or remove the member by a unanimous vote. ARTICLE IVSECTION 1-The annual dues for membership in this organization shall be as follows: 1.1  Full membership dues shall be $30.00 and will entitle the member to vote in all elections and any other business at a general membership meeting. In addition, it preferred entry fee (excluding special non-points events such as the Annual Midwest Dirt Classic) and accumulate class championship points to determine awards at the annual banquet. It also entitles the member to serve, if elected, in an elected office. 1.2  Associate membership dues are $15.00 and will entitle the member to vote in all elections and any business conducted at a general membership meeting. The associate membership carries no special privileges, either stated or implied. SECTION 2-The annual dues for membership of this organization shall be due and payable at the membership meeting. C.K.C. BY-LAWSARTICLE VSECTION 1 - The election of the officers shall be no later than December 1st of each year. The newly officers will assume office immediately upon election results. All elected officials (board members and officers), upon retiring from the office shall turn over control of all Columbus Kart Club Inc. property (keys, money, records, etc.) to the president elect on or before December 1st of the current year.SECTION 2- The President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer shall be elected for a 1-year term. Directors shall be elected each year to serve for one year, with two directors being held over from the previous year. The elected board members may appoint a member to represent an area not otherwise represented.SECTION 3-Nominations for office shall be made from the floor and each officer elected in turn before continuing the nominations and balloting. SECTION4-Voting for the election of officers shall be by secret ballot. SECTION 5-Any officer or board member absent and unexcused for two successive meetings may be removed from the position held and the vacancy filled by the remaining board members by a simple majority vote. SECTION 6-Any officer or board position vacated prior to the end of term of office will be filled for the remaining board membership by a simple majority vote. ARTICLE VISECTION 1-Special meetings of the membership will be called by the President in accordance with any business of an urgent nature. ARTICLE VIISECTION 1- The Constitution and By-Laws may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the members of the Columbus Kart Club Inc. present at the meeting provided a quorum is present and prior to the meeting five days written notice has been given each member by mail at his or her last known address.
